I am a character performer having worked in the entertainment industry for over 40 years, on stage, Variety and as a singer, ranging from Opera to Panto'.  I've also worked extensively in TV and Voiceover acting. 

Combining my work as an historian with my skills as a performer, I have been at the forefront of the development of "Historical Interpretation" performance, which aims to give realistic and educated portrayals of historic characters and events. I directed a company of actors, "Here be Dragons", devising events for museums, heritage venues and festivals, as well as for TV and stage.

My own abilities as a character actor and a student of history has led to me specialising in the portrayal of numerous historical personas, both in staged performances and on TV.   My rich baritone voice has been heard in several Voiceover roles, from computer games to Audio Dramas.  It has also been heard in Opera, Musicals and the Concert platform

Aside from straight performing  I am an accomplished presenter and compere as well as a Master of Ceremonies. I work regularly as a Beadle in the City of London as well as a Ceremonial Verger to a City church.

I have held an Equity card since 1988 (number 120613).
